Concept
Twelve-strand DNA
A claim in Marciniak’s Bringers of the Dawn that human DNA was originally twelve-stranded and was later narrowed.
Illustration made for this site. Not a photograph of the claim.
Human chromosomes are twenty-three pairs of double-helix DNA. Extra “strands” in this teaching are not extra chromosomes in the karyotype. No laboratory has reported a twelve-strand human genome. Keep the book’s picture and the measured genome labelled.
