Ben van Kerkwyk
Runs the UnchartedX project. The work scans Egyptian stone vessels and granite surfaces and argues that some objects were made to a precision difficult to reconcile with the tools usually assigned to their period. The scans and the reports are public. So are the replies, including a 2025 paper in npj Heritage Science and later arguments that some vessels are modern.
A scan establishes a shape. Provenance, date, and the tool that made the shape are further questions. An unusual vessel does not identify a pyramid power plant or a lost industrial civilisation.

Main findings this site uses
High-resolution scans of stone vessels and surfaces, offered as evidence that ancient Egyptian manufacturing was more precise than the standard toolkit allows.
Museum context, comparative measurement, and the modern-forgery argument are part of the same file. Precision is not a date.
