Jacques Vallée
Jacques Vallée occupies an unusual position in the history of UFO research. He is trained in mathematics, astrophysics and computer science, has worked on early computer networks, and has spent decades examining reports of unidentified aerial phenomena. His importance lies less in claiming a single answer than in questioning whether the most familiar answer—visitors from another planet—can explain the full range of reports. He has repeatedly urged researchers to investigate the evidence without deciding in advance what the phenomenon must be.
