Author and computer scientist · The Simulation Hypothesis

Rizwan Virk

Rizwan Virk is an entrepreneur, computer scientist, investor and author whose work connects video games, artificial intelligence, spirituality and the simulation hypothesis. He is not a Congressional UFO whistleblower. His inclusion in a UAP research archive is interpretive: he offers a model for thinking about reality and apparent anomalies, rather than firsthand evidence of recovered craft. His official biography describes computer science training at MIT, graduate management studies at Stanford, and doctoral work on technological narratives. That interdisciplinary background makes his writing especially relevant to the question of how technological metaphors shape human ideas about consciousness.

The simulation hypothesis proposes that experienced reality might be implemented within a computational environment. It is not a confirmed scientific theory, and different formulations vary substantially. A weak version says that simulations could eventually become indistinguishable from ordinary experience; a stronger version says our universe is one such simulation. Neither follows automatically from improvements in games or virtual reality. Virk uses increasingly sophisticated virtual worlds to make the possibility intelligible to non-specialists.
