Block universe
A philosophical reading of relativity: past, present, and future events all belong to one four-dimensional structure. There is no single “now” sweeping through the universe.

Einstein’s 1955 letter to Michele Besso’s family called the distinction between past, present, and future a stubborn illusion, for “us believing physicists.” That is authentic. It does not by itself prove that awareness is timeless, which is a claim of nondual philosophy, not a measurement. Relativity rules out a universal present. What that means for consciousness is still a reading.
