Number

Khafre’s 3-4-5

The second pyramid of Giza rises 4 units for every 3 it runs, so its half-base, height, and slope form a 3-4-5 right triangle. The face is about 53°10′.

Petrie noted the proportion; it follows from a seked of 5¼ palms. Grant derives the same triangle from the Seed of Life, the six circles at the centre of the Flower of Life. Both derivations reach the one triangle every builder with a knotted rope already knew. A shared result does not tell you which path the builders walked.
