Name

Anunnaki

Three different uses of one word. In the tablets, a group of Mesopotamian gods. In Bashar, taller humanoid genetic contributors. In Sitchin, gold-mining visitors.

Artist impression, not a photograph. Made for this site.

Bashar’s version, as reported: physically close to humans, often larger, tied to stories of giants, passing some technical or mathematical knowledge onward, and linked by a 1997 thread to a branch that degenerated into a form of the Greys. The tablets, including Atra-Hasis, have gods, clay, and the blood of a slain god. They do not describe DNA or laboratories. Sitchin’s 1976 reading is rejected by language specialists.
