Concept
Photon Belt
A proposed band of radiation around a greater star, usually Alcyone, that the Solar System is said to enter on a 24,000-year orbit, transforming consciousness.

Paul Otto Hesse described a radiation ring around a Zentralsonne around 1950. Samael Aun Weor named Alcyone in 1977. Virginia Essene and Sheldan Nidle popularised the Photon Belt in the 1990s, including a claim that satellites detected it in 1961. No astronomical survey has found the belt. Japan’s National Astronomical Observatory lists it as a concept without scientific evidence. The Pleiades’ blue cloud is reflection nebulosity.
