The move is of mind as well as of genes. Ra says the Martians’ warlike tendencies damaged their atmosphere until the planet could not carry third-density life, and that the present human population includes many from Mars and fewer from Maldek. In Session 20 Ra is asked whether that influx pushed Earth toward the negative and answers no. The ground agrees that Mars was once wet, with a thicker atmosphere, and that it lost most of that air after its magnetic field failed; MAVEN measured the loss still under way. The clock is the problem. Mars’ habitable window closed more than three billion years ago. At 75,000 years ago it was already the cold, thin-aired planet it is today.
