Cirrhosis / liver scarring

Long-term liver injury can cause fibrosis; advanced scarring is called cirrhosis.

Anthony William’s proposed explanation; not an established medical cause

This department is a course in understanding, not a clinic. Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment plan. If you are ill, pregnant, feeding a child, or taking medicine, speak with a clinician who knows your case. Emergency symptoms need emergency care.

William’s account

William discusses viruses, alcohol and other liver burdens, and introduces his own term pericirrhosis. That term is not a substitute for clinical staging.

Medical context

Cirrhosis has several recognised causes and can cause serious complications. Nutrition, medicines and any supplements need review by the liver team.

The medical reference explains assessment and established care options. The foods and supplements shown here record William’s approach; they do not replace that care.

Foods named in the source

Selected foods from William’s general Liver Rescue food chapter. These are reading suggestions, not a verified condition-specific list or a ranking of therapeutic effectiveness. Adapt to tolerance, allergies and your medical nutrition needs.

Supplement names

Selected names in the cited book list, not a complete protocol, dose, treatment endorsement or suggested combination. A shared list is labelled as shared. Have suitability and interactions checked individually.

Care

Use a hepatology-led plan. New confusion, vomiting blood, black stools or rapidly worsening abdominal swelling needs urgent assessment.
